Griffith Park Nature

Griffith Park in Los Angeles is the largest municipal park in the U.S. Covering 4,000 acres, it anchors the eastern Santa Monica Mountains, separates the San Fernando Valley from the L.A. Basin, and supports a mosaic of southern California natural communities. The Los Angeles River flows along the northern and eastern edge of the park, providing additional habitat diversity.
